Event Details

This workshop will cover the basic principles of GIS and the participants will learn the process of constructing many different maps, which will include downloading and generating data.  The workshop will teach concepts of joining, merging, clipping, querying, buffering, geocoding and other basic principles.

Instructor:   Collin Linebach

Lunch will be provided. 

 

This workshop will meet in Room 110A of the Business Building.

 

This workshop will be held on the Southwest Campus of Jefferson Community and Technical College.  The college is located at 1000 Community College Drive, Louisville, KY 40272.

  • to increase IT enrollment and completion rates, with more IT jobs filled;
  • to implement widely the new Kentucky IT curriculum;
  • to enhance the expertise of high school, community college, and technical college IT faculty;
  • to support and enhance IT initiatives across the Commonwealth; and
  • to increase the support and participation of business, government, and industry.
